Cat and Gemma spending Tuesday lunch at the barre
On Tuesday, the lovely Gemma and I will be trotting into the city (well, taking the train) to try Body Barre at Barre Body in Flinders Lane. Sure, we may not master the art of looking like ballerinas after one class (maybe Gemma will, she's got the hair and poise mastered!) but we're both excited about mixing the principles of pilates, dance and dynamic stretching. I also understand they have a kickass Vinyasa class - I'd love to hear back from any participants!

Fantastic! Working with light weights briefly, then focusing on the stabiliser muscles and doing a lot of small, controlled movements (isometric training), interspersed with yoga stretching, BodyBarre was different to any of the classes I've seen offered at gyms. The studio is beautiful, light, clean and modern. The perfect lunchtime or post-work escape zone! Emma was a clear, friendly, energetic instructor and though it was challenging, the time flew by. Stay tuned for an upcoming interview with Emma!
